SIMONA® Products at K Fair 2019:
New SIMOPOR family – proven PVC free-foam sheets reinvented
Encompassing four categories, SIMONA's new SIMOPOR product family unlocks new possibilities for creative designs in the field of visual communication and structural engineering. SIMOPOR S is the smart all-rounder for all applications, meeting the highest standards in respect of technical properties and certifications. SIMOPOR SP is a specialist product in functional white, optimised for digital printing applications. In the new line-up, SIMOPOR E plays the role of a cost-effective entry-level product. In addition, the product range includes SIMOPOR EP, an economical lightweight product in the trend colour of pure white. The portfolio also consists of the proven products SIMOPOR COLOR and SIMOPOR CONSTRUCT.
UV-stabilised twin-wall sheet design
SIMONA has extended its portfolio of third-generation twin-wall sheets to include an all-white design featuring UV stabilisation. Compared to the grey or black sheets available in this range, the new product offers the benefit of much lower heat absorption, particularly when used in outdoor applications. Thus, this sheet is suitable not only for use in container construction (outdoor installation) but above all for the construction of exhaust air scrubbers or also for installations such as containers or other enclosures where a durable and corrosion-resistant material is required. SIMONA® HKP white UV is physiologically safe and can be exposed to the elements for 10 years or more. SIMONA also supplies the matching welding rod for this product.
Expansion of FEP product range
Compared to other lining materials, SIMONA® FEP offers exceptional non-stick properties. In this context, SIMONA® FEP linings can be used in the field of high-end corrosion protection for the purpose of reducing cycle times, as component discharge can be performed faster and more efficiently. SIMONA offers FEP designs with glass fibre or aramid backing, thus adding to its product range of liners for high-end corrosion protection.
SIMONA® SmartTank – release of Version 2.0 and extended features for twin-wall sheet calculation
Version 2.0 of the tank calculation program SIMONA® SmartTank will also be showcased at the trade fair. It boasts a number of improvements, including a new user interface. Individually adjustable profile distances for circumferentially reinforced tanks open up new possibilities for the calculation of rectangular tanks. Additionally, the program now also includes a calculation module for SIMONA® Twin-Wall Sheets.
