SIMONA’s response to this challenge is SIMORAIL AG, a high-performance plastic sheet with integrated anti-graffiti film – specially developed for the interior fittings of passenger vehicles like trains, streetcars, and buses.

Proven reliability – SIMORAIL AG impresses in practical test

The protective film is chemical-, UV-, and weather-resistant. Even stubborn graffiti can be removed with suitable cleaning products without damaging the surface. This effect has been confirmed in two independent practical tests.

Test 1: Resistance to graffiti cleaners

  • 16 graffiti cleaners

  • 15 minutes exposure time and 24 hours standing time

  • No surface changes in the film-coated SIMORAIL AG sheet

  • Significant changes in the surface of the non-film-coated reference sheet, especially when using solvent-based cleaners

Test 2: Removal of various colorants

  • 11 different colorants, including graffiti spray paints, silver nitrate-based inks, and other solvent-based colorants 

  • Almost complete removal of even stubborn media from the film-coated SIMORAIL AG sheet

  • Visible residues following cleaning of the non-film-coated reference sheet
