Bad smells are a subjective sensation, but they can be a real nuisance when they affect whole communities. In Australia, complaints about odours from industrial premises have to be looked into by environmental protection officers. If the complaint is upheld, the company involved has to take steps to prevent air pollution.

To deal with such cases, Bioaction has developed an air filter system by the name of FiltaMod^TM. It is made using black SIMONA^® PE 100 Twin-Wall Sheets because of their ease of processing, UV resistance, and high rigidity combined with low weight. With the help of the distributor Plastral, the processor Hercules Plastics and SIMONA’s Technical Service Centre, the sheets are joined by means of butt welding.

As a result, SIMONA^® Twin-Wall Sheets are suitable for systems large and small. The fact that the sheets are so easy to process means that the module can be built efficiently with a small fabrication team and make a big contribution to the environment.
