SIMONA presents extensive product range at ACHEMA 2018
From 11 to 15 June 2018, SIMONA AG will be showcasing a wide range of sheets, welding rods, pipes and fittings for the chemical process industry at this year's ACHEMA trade fair. As a leading manufacturer of thermoplastic products and a development partner within this field, SIMONA is committed to premium-quality products and first-class service. Alongside innovative system solutions that offer the highest levels of safety and reliability even in the most challenging operating conditions, SIMONA will also be providing details of its extensive consulting services at the Frankfurt trade fair.
Preview of our products at ACHEMA 2018:
SIMONA® semi-finished parts for chemical tank construction
SIMONA® twin-wall sheets combine the benefits of high rigidity, low specific weight and good thermal insulation. In addition to being easy to process, they boast an innovative lightweight construction and high chemical resistance, making them the perfect choice for tank and equipment engineering. SIMONA® twin-wall sheets are available in lengthways-ribbed and cross-ribbed designs. The range of newly developed cross-ribbed SIMONA® twin-wall sheets has been extended to include sheets in a thickness of 30 mm with matching 90° corners, which complement the company's existing line of PE 100 and PP-C sheets in a thickness of 40 mm.
SIMONA will also be presenting PFA semi-finished parts, which constitute a significant expansion of its product portfolio in the area of high-performance plastics. SIMONA® PFA is deployed mainly in the field of corrosion protection, the focus being on particularly high levels of chemical and thermal exposure. This product can be supplied without any backing as well as with a glass fibre or aramid fibre backing, which makes it the perfect addition to SIMONA's extensive range of products with backing.
SIMONA® pipes and fittings for highest safety standards
A consistently high level of safety is essential when it comes to industrial pipeline engineering and this has to be taken into consideration as early as the initial planning stages – covering everything from storage tanks to distribution and metering lines.
Where the focus is on process stability, SIMODUAL² industrial double-containment pipes are the best choice, particularly as the standardised end-to-end system can be exposed to full pressure loads. The leakage containment area spans the entire length of the pipe. It is pressure resistant and can be monitored. SIMODUAL² is an easy-to-assemble complete system that features anchor points secured by mechanical means – for tangible time and cost savings. Alongside the pipe modules, SIMONA supplies an end-to-end range of fittings in a double-walled design. Both the media-carrying pipe and the protective pipe are available in various PE 100 and PP material combinations.
In addition to seamless bends in diameters up to 1,000 mm, SIMONA now also produces injection-moulded bends in diameters up to 500 mm – available in PE 100 and PP for pressure classes SDR 17/17.6 and 11. What is more, the product range has been extended to include large SIMONA® injection-moulded fittings in dimensions up to d 900 mm. The focus is on fittings with elongated spigots; this produces reliable and safe joints when using electrofusion sockets, even in large diameters.
The SIMONA® PE 100 AP-Line Abrasion Protect System represents the latest generation of coextruded pipes and fittings with a highly abrasion-resistant interior. The pipes and fittings are used primarily for the hydraulic and pneumatic transport of abrasive solids. Their notch and impact resistance is substantially higher than that of standard products used in this field of application.
At this year's ACHEMA, SIMONA will be highlighting its capabilities as a reliable partner in the field of industrial and chemical plant engineering. Alongside standard products made of thermoplastics, the company supplies highly resilient partially and fully fluorinated plastics, thus offering an end-to-end range of semi-finished parts, pipes and fittings made of various materials – designed to meet customers' exacting safety standards.
